A week of groceries for a family in need

Nantucket-08-2004.jpg

Your island neighbors need your help.

Many island residents are facing a critical food emergency in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Together, we can support local families during this crisis.

In partnership with Nantucket Food Fuel & Rental Assistance, we’re asking families with available resources to buy a week’s worth of food for a family in need. If you don’t have the ability to purchase the groceries, we will shop for you (just click ‘Shop for Me’ on the sign up form).

How It Works

Give a family a week’s worth of necessities.

1

Assemble a “Bag of Basics” - a week’s worth of grocery staples -
for a family in need.
OR
Designate ‘Shop for Me’ on the Sign up form and venmo your donation to @grayson-shaw

2

Bring your Bag of Basics to the designated Drop Zone.

3

Volunteers from the Nantucket Food Pantry will deliver donations directly to neighbors in need.

Bag of Basics

5 lb bag of white rice

5 lb bag of Maseca

1 1/2 quarts of vegetable oil

1 lb bag of dry black beans

1 lb bag of dry kidney beans.

5 lb bag of all-purpose flour

Together, we can keep our island community vibrant and strong!
